About BTCB NI
The British Taekwondo Control Board (Northern Ireland) was established in 2003 to bring together the growing numbers of World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) clubs that operated in Northern Ireland and also were affiliated to the BTCB.
The logo for the BTCB(NI) is formed using two diagonal red stripes of the Cross of Saint Patrick, which is one of the few symbols within Northern Ireland that is politically acceptable to both communities. It also echoes the Cross of Saint Andrew used by Taekwondo Scotland with both forming part of the Union Flag.
